I had such a lovely day visiting the students of Pickney Elementary! I challenged the kids to ask me a question I’ve never been asked before, but it had to be on topic. They tried so hard! It was adorable. And I did, in fact, get asked a question or two that I’d never been asked, which was fun for me! #schoolvisit

Another notebook filled. Time to start a new one. I’m not big on outlining. Instead I do a lot of wandering inside a notebook before I turn to the computer. It’s mostly nonsensical junk, but it helps me figure stuff out. I also feel there’s a different brain connection when I write longhand vs. typing. Typing is faster, but forming the letters in my own handwriting has a more creative and artistic component. It feels less rigid, and I find I’m able to push through creative blocks a little more easily. #writing #writerlife #creativity #creativeprocess
