This is me reading while my friends shop. Never leave home without a book! Or you can nap on the sunny sidewalk, as my friend is doing in the upper right. We are not big shoppers.
Every day I open my photo album and ask, do I have anything exciting or interesting to share on social media? And the answer is usually no. This is why I don’t post very often. My photo album is mostly screen shots of return QR codes, mistake screenshots, and totally random stuff for who knows why. So I decided to just share it. Give you a peek into the real me. Enjoy! There are a couple good recipes at the end, so maybe not totally worthless. Stick with me! I’ll get more interesting eventually.
The White Sox got creamed, but I got a hot dog and a hot date, so I win.
This is the sweetest book. Everyone should have it. I read it when I’m sad or stressed. I read it to my 7 y/o this morning when he was sad and frustrated. We cuddled on the couch and read the whole book, and it calmed him right down. Books are magic. Books are medicine. Books are love. Thanks to my sweet @lisacolemanallen for gifting it to me!

I have complained about these giant White Sox cups taking up precious space in my cupboards for years. Little did I know that Ty has been collecting even more, and today his parting gift was to fill all my cupboards with them. Well played, Ty. I can’t wait for you to open up all your boxes and bags to see my parting gift to you! Just want to make sure you have some quality reading material. 😘
Photo dump of Utah trip! Grateful I got to spend so much time with my family in the mountains. Couldn’t get enough. Swipe to the end for a fun little song from my dad!
Cozy Cabin Writers Retreat 2025 was a success! We wrote like fiends but made some time for walks, games, and s’mores. Photos courtesy of @jessieoliveros and @janetsumnerjohnson. I took none.
Today’s meditation spot.
Hooked on Amulet by Kazu Kibuishi. All my kids have loved this graphic novel series.
Someone please explain why it always looks like someone lost a battle with the toothpaste.
