Last night as I was working hard on revisions, things started to blur, fade in and out, and become altogether confusing. So what do I do when I have “writer’s block?”
- wash dishes
- go running
- fold laundry
- Any task that takes more physical work than brain power
I do not stare at my computer to remove the block.
Tonight I did the dishes, and in less than five minutes, Poof! things suddenly became clear and the solution to my problem sprung into my head. I love it when that happens. My dish scrubber is my magic idea wand.
