So my family can be them for Halloween!

Photo taken by Jenna Cole

We kept it all correct according to the family tree, except Yoda, but I figured that Yoda and two-year-olds are somewhat similar: They both have knowledge of a force way over my head.

This photo was taken at our church Halloween party, where we of course won Best Family Costume. I have to be honest. I’m not the biggest Halloween fan. I usually don’t even dress up, but my husband and son are die-hard Star Wars fans and my husband got these costumes MONTHS in advance. We had to pay our daughter twenty bucks to be Leia, but I think it grew on her after a while.

Okay, there’s a little window into my family life. I don’t open it very often. Tomorrow I have way more cool stuff pertaining to writing! Stay tuned!

  1. This is a brillant picture. You guys look amazing! Seriously. Give your husband a pat on the back!

  2. Love this picture! You especially look fantastic (although it’s hard to compete with your little Yoda).

I’m not big on dressing up for Halloween, either, but it occurred to me a few days ago that next year we’ll have the perfect family make-up to go as the Incredibles. (You guys, do, too! And yours are even in the right order!) Maybe if I beg my mom to make us the costumes, she’d be willing to throw away all her free time for the next year on us…

  3. This is awesome! My husband would love this! We went as a Cars family…lightning, sally, luigi, and guido. Pretty fun. 🙂

  4. I love it! We keep talking about a family costume, but have never done it. I’m sure if we ever try, we’ll end up paying at least one of our kids to dress up as well. You all look awesome!!

  5. Wow, you guys look fantastic!

  6. Great costume!!! I showed my husband and he was jealous right along with me. I’m not much into Halloween either, but if I had a costume like yours, I’d wear it! Even your make up is fantastic! Well done!! You guys deserved that award, for sure. 🙂
