Thank you Stephsco and Rebecca Kiel for giving me the lovely Liebster Blog award! They are both in the Chicago vicinity and this just feels like a welcome home gift. I hope to meet you both in person soon. SCBWI Prairie Writer’s Day maybe? Let’s have lunch!

The Liebster Award is meant to connect us even more and spotlight new bloggers who, at the moment, have less than 200 followers. The rules are:

1.Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

2.Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.

3.Post the award on your blog.

4.Bask in the love from the most supportive people on the Internet – other writers.

5.And best of all – have fun and spread the karma!

My top five picks are:

Jenilyn Tolley who just has the best sense of humor and such wonderful insight.

Rachel of Trapped Between a Scream and a Hug. Her blog is not necessarily a writing blog so much as a mommy blog (I can do that, right? It’s my award to give?) but if you’re a mother, you need her blog in your life.

Gaylene at Unwritten. She shares such great information I don’t think I would get otherwise.

Jolene B. Perry at Been Writing. I actually have no clue how many followers she has but I like her stuff!

Anita Grace Howard of A Still and Quiet Madness. I have no clue how many follower she has either, but she’s a rockin’ writer and she has big news to share soon and she torturing us all with suspense! The mark of a good writer.

And now I just want to know one thing. Who the heck is Liebster?

  1. Congrat on the Liebster award, Fräulein! I think Liebster is German for favorite/beloved (at least that’s what the online translator told me–LOL), so you’re a favorite beloved blog. SWEET.

Thanks so much for handing it over to me. I have more than 200 followers, but I’m going to swipe it long enough to hand it off to a few bloggers who don’t have that many followers. I won’t post it on my sidebar, though, since I don’t meet the criteria. Still thrilled you gave it to me so I could hand it off to a few more!

Okay, thanks for stopping by my blog … and I hope to hear something from you soon, too. 😉

  2. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You Rock!!

  3. Thank you so much! You’re awesome!

So cool. The Liebster award is awesome. I can’t wait to check out these new blogs! I love finding new and awesome authors!

  4. Thanks! my first award 🙂

  5. You’re welcome. I’m working backward here and see your book was picked up by a publisher. Wonderful! I’m very excited for you, your story idea sounds great. I keep hearing such inventive, fun middle grade story ideas, it almost makes me want to write for that age range.

I haven’t signed up for SCBWI yet. I’m going to a Young Adult conference by Anderson’s Books in Naperville next month, I figured I would start there with something local.

    Again, congrats!

  6. Just realized I never came by to thank you. So, Thanks! I am so flattered!
