Today I registered for the Writing & Illustrating for Young Readers workshop which will be held in Sandy, UT this year. It used to be run by Brigham Young University, but the workshop people decided to strike out on their own this year and hold it at the Waterford School. Lucky for me that’s just two blocks away from my mother-in-law, (whom I’ve already assumed will house me. Good thing I’m her favorite daughter-in-law.)

I can’t begin to express how excited I am. I signed up for the fantasy novel workshop taught by Brandon Mull. Awesome. And I get to meet up with one of my very first and favorite writing buddies. She’ll have to show me the ropes though, because she’s been to this workshop twice before. I’m a little nervous but more excited than anything. Better get cracking down on polishing my book so I can have it spitting shiny by June 14!
